Youth-Centered Harm Reduction

The Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB), Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) Program, and the Runaway and Homeless Youth Training, Technical Assistance, and Capacity Building Center (RHYTTAC) invite you to join us for an upcoming virtual training on “Youth-Centered Harm Reduction”. Harm reduction represents a set of evidence-based practical strategies for increasing individual and community safety in areas impacting public health. Participants will learn more about harm reduction approaches to substance use, sexual health, mental health, relationships, and housing instability, through centering safety and honoring personal autonomy, which are essential strategies for engaging and supporting youth experiencing homelessness.

This virtual training on July 16, 2024 from 1:00-2:30 PM ET will provide evidence-based practices for implementing harm reduction strategies and will highlight emerging innovations in the field. Join us to learn strategies and tips from subject matter experts, service providers, and youth and young adults on effective implementation of harm reduction in youth homelessness programs.
