What is RHYTTAC?

The Runaway and Homeless Youth Training, Technical Assistance, and Capacity Building Center (RHYTTAC) is funded by the Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB) as the training and technical assistance provider for all runaway and homeless youth (RHY) grantees. RHYTTAC will assist FYSB grantee agencies in developing effective approaches to serving runaway and homeless youth, accessing new resources, and establishing linkages with other programs with similar interests and concerns.

RHYTTAC is responsible for the following activities:

  1. Public Awareness and Resource Development Activities
  2. Training and Technical Assistance Activities
  3. Policy Development and System Engagement Activities
  4. Research Activities
  5. Runaway and Homeless Youth Program Network (RHYPN) Participation and Coordination

RHYTTAC services are provided via:

  • Phone: (412) 399-5747

  • Email: [email protected]

  • Website resources

  • eLearning & Community of Practice for youth serving professionals

  • Recorded webinars

  • Monthly facilitated webinars

  • Technical assistance clinics offered in various locations around the country

  • Trainings, including Training of Trainers, on topics critical to grantee agencies

  • Events, including the RHY National Grantee Training held each November

Participation in RHY training and technical assistance is typically free, with the exception of a small registration fee to the annual national training and travel-related expenses. Recognizing that travel costs are often prohibitive for many grantees, RHYTTAC works to ensure topics delivered via technical assistance clinics and trainings are also made available to all grantees via the website and other outlets.
