November is National Runaway Prevention Month

Each year, approximately 4.2 million young people experience some form of homelessness. This is unacceptable and we’re working to create a better future for youth everywhere.

National Runaway Prevention Month (NRPM) is spearheaded by the National Runaway Safeline (NRS), with the support of the Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB). NRS operates the federally funded National Communication System for Runaway and Homeless Youth Program, to ensure that youth in crisis and those experiencing homelessness can reach out for assistance when needed.  

RHYTTAC is proud to partner and coordinate with NRS during NRPM and throughout the year to connect RHY Grantees and other youth-serving organizations to vital resources. RHYTTAC provides training and technical assistance on effective practices for organizations working to prevent and end youth homelessness, which includes sharing resources and trends gathered by NRS on youth experiencing homelessness and runaway situations.
