Mental Health Virtual Training
Peer to Peer Learning Space

Thursday, June 27, 2024 I 1:00 - 2:30 PM ET

The Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB), Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) Program, and the Runaway and Homeless Youth Training, Technical Assistance, and Capacity Building Center (RHYTTAC) invite you to join us for an upcoming mental health virtual training. As indicated by participants in the RHYTTAC National Needs Assessment, RHY providers expressed interest in receiving training and technical assistance around mental health needs of youth experiencing homelessness. This training is designed to facilitate a Peer to Peer Learning Space for RHY providers to enhance knowledge and capacity in addressing the mental health needs of youth experiencing homelessness or housing instability.

Registration is now closed.

Many youth experiencing a housing crisis are also experiencing mental health challenges. It is important for those working with youth who have run away or are experiencing homelessness to understand the basics of mental health and how these co-occurring challenges affect each other. This training will give participants the opportunity to participate in a discussion with their peers about youth mental health facilitated by Wraparound Milwaukee.

Wraparound Milwaukee contracts with care coordinators who facilitate the delivery of services and other supports to families using a strength-based, highly individualized wraparound approach. Their primary focus is to serve children and adolescents who have emotional disorders and who are identified by the Child Welfare or Juvenile Justice System.
