Study Finds Many RHY are Pregnant or ParentingAccording to the latest brief from Chapin Hall’s Voices of Youth Count project, among young people who experience homelessness, an estimated 44% of girls and young women, and 18% of boys and young men, are either pregnant or parenting. The brief highlights challenges that pregnant and parenting youth face when seeking housing and services, and makes recommendations for improving access, better coordination between RHY and early childhood providers, and finding ways to preserve family relationships when possible.
