In 2020, the Family and Youth Services Bureau (FYSB) developed and released the Issue Brief: Human Trafficking Prevention fo r Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) Settings. This Issue Brief outl ines recommendations to integrate human trafficking prevention into RHY set tings. The recommendations were developed based on RHY grantees feedback (i .e., current practice perceptions on human trafficking prevention for young people experiencing homelessness and housing instability), existing resear ch and resources, CDC’s prevention principles, and the RHY programmatic fra mework.
This three-part series w ill build on information from the Issue Brief to increase participants’ und erstanding of, and capacity to integrate culturally responsive prevention s trategies into their existing programs utilizing public health, trauma-info rmed, and Positive Youth Development (PYD) principles. This series is intended for FYSB Runaway and Homeless Youth (RHY) Grantees and is not open to the publi c. Please share with your agency colleague s.

prevention strategies grounded in public health, trauma-informed, and posit
